Project Healthy Lifestyle: Introduction

Project Healthy Lifestyle: Introduction

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been wanting to get healthy for years. Maybe you want to lose weight, or maybe you feel stressed and tired all the time. Or maybe all three! Or maybe you just want to be set a good example for your kids.

And if you DO want to live healthier, regardless of the reason, you’ve probably gone through periods where you’re totally motivated, maybe you’ve dieted, or joined a gym, or something else, and it goes GREAT for a while, but then slowly you start slipping. And before you know it, you’re right back where you started.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably tried any and all fad diets, you’ve done calorie restriction, you’ve tried eating low carb, high-fat diets, you’ve pretty much tried everything out there, and spent hundreds of dollars on gym memberships, diet shakes, books and thousands of other products that promise that you’ll reach your goal! And you’ve been disappointed because, in the end, it never sticks, it’s too expensive and it’s not something you could see yourself doing for the rest of your life.

Scale and tape measure - for weight loss as part of your healthy lifestyle.

Maybe you don’t want or need to lose weight, but you find yourself having no energy, you’re stressed, maybe you’re even depressed! And while you might feel like you know what you should do to feel better, to be healthier, it just seems completely unmanageable. Maybe you have a job where you work late or a ton of hours, maybe you have kids that need your attention, and focussing on your health becomes a low priority.

Stress

If that’s the case, then join me on my journey to a healthier lifestyle! I want to lose some weight. I want to feel more energized and less stressed. I want good mental health. These are my overall goals.

And for the next year I will be implementing a ton of small changes in my lifestyle, that will help me reach my goals.

Once a week, I will post an article about what I’m doing and how you can do it too. I will be sharing tips and tricks, and I will be sharing my struggles.

This will not be easy, but it will be simple, and budget-friendly! If you’re joining me, let me know in the comments, and remember to check back at least once a week for new Project Healthy Lifestyle posts!
